The Magic Bus was developed by the Foundation
to offer free field trips for Albuquerque Public
School children in second through eighth grades,
bringing them to The Albuquerque Museum of
Art & History or Casa San Ysidro.

Approximately 9,600 students participate in the
Magic Bus program each school year, and special
workshops are given for teachers on integrating
Magic Bus trips with their school curriculum.

Every Magic Bus ride provides opportunities for
interactive educational experiences related to
art or history. The program is coordinated to
ensure that each APS elementary and middle
school that requests a Magic Bus receives at
least one per school year, and classrooms are
rotated to offer the opportunity to different
classes each year.

Despite the challenges of our economy,
Magic Bus sponsorships are just $125 per bus,
and each bus provides a free field trip for two classrooms. The Foundation matches sponsors'
gifts by providing docent training funding,
the Museum admission for each student and
printed materials they take home.
